The Practice

Taneja Architecture and Design is committed to providing its clients design excellence and exceptional service. Its mission is to impart each design with uniqueness, elegance and simplicity, while giving the client value and comfort. Each clients ‘wish list’ and budget are keenly considered and a real collaboration is nurtured between the client, architect and builder. Environmentally sensitive design is integrated into the architecture wherever possible. Our services encompass a wide variety of residential and commercial projects, and may include all phases of architecture, from initial design, construction documents, project bids to site supervision.



Shalini Taneja earned an Associate of Arts degree from The Maryland College of Art and Design followed by a Bachelors of Architecture from Pratt Institute, later earning a Masters in Education from Columbia University. She began her architectural training at the prestigious New York firm of Gwathmey Siegel Associates and Architects on projects that include Steven Spielberg's residence in East Hampton, The Herman Miller Showroom at The International Design Center in Queens, and The Museum of Moving Image in Queens. She continued her practice as an associate at the New York firm of Anschuetz, Christidis, and Lauster. She designed and managed a variety of projects that include the Mosbacher Residence, the executive offices of UNITE, among other residential and commercial projects. She is licensed to practice architecture in the State of New Jersey.
